To mark the 60th anniversary of the European Documentation Centres, the University of Tours is organising a conference on Peace in Europe which will take place from 9 to 10 November. The Robert Schuman Foundation is associated as a partner and Jean-Dominique Giuliani will be one of the main speakers.

A "Paxa Europa" conference will be held over two days at the Salle Thélème at the University of Tours and will be broadcast live in English and French on Youtube on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 November 2023 from 8.30am to 6.30pm.

Under the scientific direction of Pierre-Yves MONJAL and Nicolas CLINCHAMPS.
A publication in French and English is planned for 2024 with the Revue du droit de l'Union européenne - Bruylant.
Jean-Dominique Giuliani, Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, will be speaking as a key witness on Friday 10th November at 4.30pm.

The Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies organises an open lecture by Jean-Dominique Giuliani, President of the Robert Schuman Foundation.
The lecture, titled “Democratic Resilience in Europe in Times of Polarisation,” is organized in cooperation with the French Embassy in Tallinn and the Institut français d’Estonie, as part of the French Week in Tartu. The event opened by Ms. Sophie Coumel, Director of the Institut français and Cultural Counsellor, and moderated by Dr. Stefano Braghiroli, Associate Professor of European Studies at our institute, .marks the concluding activity of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “REPAIR - Rejuvenating Democracy in the EU”, led by the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies and supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme.
